BACK TO WORK | WORKWEAR WARDROBE

September 15, 2019

Back to school! It's all I've heard and seen over the last couple of weeks which had me reminiscing of that new start feeling of embarking on a new year of classes and the time comes when you can finally wear your new school shoes and bag for all those new books. It got me thinking, in your working career when is the start of the new work year? When is the time to get your new shoes and top up your workiform.
Is it in January? urgh, definitely not! New clothes are not something I want to be trying on after the pounds of turkey I will have consumed. Could it be September? Well....yes it does seem like the perfect time for your workiform refresh. You've been on holiday and got a tan, the weather has shifted and is peering into autumn, and it's a time you feel refreshed. So that settles it September is the start of a new work year which means it's the ideal time to refresh your workiform wardrobe just in time to see the new season drop into stores.

Here are some outfit ideas for how to rediscover some pieces of your current workwear wardrobe along with some new season pieces you may want to invite in.

SUITS YOU
It's all about the suit this AW19 but who said a suit had to match. A mix and match suit is a great way to loosen up the suit look. Stick to similar tones to stay on-trend.

SKIRTING AROUND
A slip, pleated, midi, leather need I carry on..... all look fab with boots, (especially all those knee-high boots were seeing this season) trainers and mules. If you want to elevate your skirt look add a boyfriend blazer and you will look very fashion.

ONE PIECE WONDER
For those times when one piece of clothing is enough or you just want to look super chic, you can't go wrong with a utility jumpsuit and your trusty ear armour or a floaty midi dress and boot option. You've hit the jackpot.

TROUSER TALK
We all have a workiform that we automatically turn to and mine is 'the trouser'. With a range of different styles in various colours and fabrics on the hot list this season including wide-leg trousers, tailored joggers, cropped trousers, and my new favourite the cargo pant. Worried it looks too casual pair with your fave mules or last seasons ankle boots.
